When I arrived at the airport, what I saw was 3 flights arrived (including ours) at almost the same time and there's a long queue at the immigration booths. We queued for more than an hour. Moreover, the airport is quite small and when I was there, it's still under construction.
After an hour of queuing... |
We took our luggages, went outside and get ready for our next journey.
The bus ride. |
Arrived at 7PM and it's dark outside. Well, I must say that it felt like I was in Sabah. Awal gelap bah. After the bus ride, it's time for a 15 minutes boat ride. There will be another luggage scanning at the terminal. It's their procedure and we're just following the flow.

The 8 of us! Selfie on a boat ride. |
MABUHAY BORACAY!!
or pronounced as BO-RA-KAII...
We arrived in Boracay with a little drizzles and thaaat didn't stop us for another ride to the hostel. It was a 15 minutes ride using a vehicles that I thought it looks like a big tuk-tuk that I had before in Krabi. Ok, nuff said about all the tiring rides, but hey, we arrived in Boracay safe and sound.
We stayed at MNL Hostel. I can say that this hostel is quite cheap (I forgot the price per night) and a comfortable place to stay. Oh ya, the WiFi password was quite easy to remember and you can trolled your friend with the password thing-y. XD
So Malaysian! (Photo by Kak Yus) |
We make ourselves at home and took our dinner. It's a good thing that we brought foods from home. We cooked and filled our tummy with fooooooods. Gosh, all those journeys made us effing hungry and it's quite hard to get Halal food in Boracay.
Lepas makan. Penat menghadap jetlag (la sangat). Jalan tetap jalan!
The plane-bus-boat-tuk-tuk ride didn't stop us from wandering around in D'Mall. We walked from the hostel to D'Mall. It's quite a scene there. Live performance and so on.
Live malam dia hidup bak ang!
Meriah!
We walked from Station 1 to Station 3. It's our first night and we were just surveying the price for the souvenirs and enjoyed some of the performances there. Live band, cool music, hot fire breathers, adakah-penari-tu-perempuan-atau-pondan sexy dances, karaoke and so much more. It's a good thing we went to Boracay in October because all the bars there has their own Halloween theme.
Do you see what I see? |
Pub crawl? (Maybe) Only in Boracay.
In the morning, the organizer recruits their customers and during the night time, it's time to 'crawl' from pub to another pub along the White Beach. The customers will wear their yellow t-shirt and go from a bar to another bar. I saw a lot of drunk chicks and dudes there. Yup. They were really drunk.
In spite of all the commotion, there's this one thing that attracted me the most...
Mamat ni lukis from scratch kot. And this custom-made t-shirt is quite expensive though. |
It's midnight and we're tired.
It's time to go back to the hostel.
Sleep tight and get ready for the next day!
Z: We had an awkward first night in Boracay. Sara. Sara. Tsk tsk tsk.
