Pink Eye

Whoa. It's been a while since I updated my blog. Anyway, I just wanna tell you guys that I was having a test within a test yesterday. While I was sitting for my English paper, my left eye was in pain. Now, that's a test for me. Luckily, we human are given 2 eyes. So, I was depending on my right eye to see the question and my answer script. And that was quite hard plus I had a flu during the test. =.='

source

I cried a lot because somehow I knew that the tears can make it go away. Well, it's futile. And of course I cried because I couldn't stand the pain. It's worse than having shampoo in the eye because you can wash that away by using water. At night time, I went to PK. Thanks to Amy for accompany me there as I can't walk there while my eyes couldn't open properly. Yes. I just shut my eyes down because it was so painful to open my left eye.

The doctor said I had conjunctivitis or known as pink eye. He told me to sit, stand or move around. Don't lie down. If I wanna lie down, I need to put a few pillows underneath my head so that it will be higher than my body. Memang sakit badan la tido malam tadik.

The doc gave me an eye ointment, antibiotic and some pill to prevent my eye become swollen.

Stating the Obvious Malaysians Level

I really wanted to watch Lawak Ke Der? at Istana Budaya but never had time for that. Err. Well. My time during holidays were preoccupied with work and some other stuffs.

Anyway, this is the first one I watched and it was EPIC!
What can I say,
Awesome joke, is OHSEMMM!

Here are some of my favourite moments. :D

We, Malaysians, love stating the obvious. DUHH!
 *
Singaporeans have a special place to cross the roads but we have a whole roads to cross by using the power of hand.
 *
And I was wondering the same thing too about the accident. I just realized that during accident in Malaysia, we often asked "Melayu ke Cina?" but seldom we asked about the Indian. We should change it to "Melayu, India, Cina ke Lain-lain?". Right?
 *
Then, about the old-school and new-school stuffs. Yesteryears, they had only 2 channels. But now, we had tv 1,2,3,7,8,9, Astro 101, 102, 103... Then back to channel 101 again. Finally, the epic comment was "800 channels and got nothing on la!"
*
When we come to the DJ and requested a soul song, Mr DJ would give you one good soul song that would shake your shoulders and hips. If asked Mr DJ nowadays about soul song he'd put on a different song. That epic moment when Harith's performance had Nobody But You from Wonder Girls. Hah. Mr DJ, you should know how to differentiate soul and Seoul. Anyway, it was cute to see Harith dancing to the Nobody But You song.
*
About the radio DJ. I also laughed to the request callers. Request a song to the next person sitting to you via phone calls. Save your money and just say
takyah telefon, bagi taw je
*
Last but not least, me and Harith has one in common which is CSI lover. I love how he put up a show about CSI. It was OHSEMM! Even CSI Malaysia was funny too. It depicts real situation, I guess. XD

Z : I love Harith's body language and his English. :D

Fiesta Malaysia Sibu Footage

As I was browsing down the news feeds on Facebook, one of my friend posted about Fiesta Malaysia Melbourn 2012. At first it shows photos about Sibu. Then, I saw my lihai ex-classmate, Jeanne. She's promoting Sibu. :D
Then, came Roland, eating the famous Mi Kampua around 2:12 and I bet it's at Ah Ho.
Teehee.

Sibu? Obviously, its China in Malaysia, Malaysia's Chinatown or whatever you called it. Come to Sibu then you will know the surroundings.

XD

Z : Untungla study jaoh2. Saye bila lagi? Post-grad kelak kot. InshaAllah.

The Real Me.

After I answered the previous personality test, I took another one here and here's my result which is SO DAMN TRUE !

Here goes.
  1. You've got great self-confidence and you're full of charm. Most guys who get to know you will be attracted to you. You are far from sweet and proper; your intriguing personality fascinates them. Most guys find it easy to fall for a girl like you.
  2. You don't really care about other people's feelings. You do things the way you want and usually think only about yourself. You are easy-going and love to have fun, but you can be irresponsible as well. You are not keen on serious discussions because they can make you remember that life isn't always about parties.
  3. You are a bright, cheerful and bubbly person. You are thoughtful and considerate, and like to have fun. Everybody feels comfortable around you because of your pleasant nature. When you walk into a room, people's eyes are likely to be drawn to you because of your charm.
  4. Your peers think of you as a fun person, but sometimes you can be a little irresponsible. You can be somewhat childish, and can try to ignore the fact that you will one day need to really grow up and be a mature adult! Perhaps you could start reading good books; they might help you look at the world in a different light. You do want to be taken seriously, right?
  5. Your boyfriend thinks that you are a real doll but this is not a totally positive thing. Sometimes you can be a bit too sweet, and come across as being helpless. If you're like this too frequently, your boyfriend and other people are likely to get tired of you having to rely on them all the time.

Z : I am full of charm. Haha

Getting to Know Myself Better ?

I was tagged by my friends about some personality test.
Click here if you wanna try one. I had done mine and here's the result.

Your view on yourself:
You are down-to-earth and people like you because you are so straightforward. You are an efficient problem solver because you will listen to both sides of an argument before making a decision that usually appeals to both parties.
*Really? I think the straightforward part is so damn true.

The type of girlfriend/boyfriend you are looking for:
You are a true romantic. When you are in love, you will do anything and everything to keep your love true.
*This. I need to ask him first whether I'm a true romance. Haha.

Your readiness to commit to a relationship:
You are ready to commit as soon as you meet the right person. And you believe you will pretty much know as soon as you might that person.
*I'm ready to commit if it's really you.

The seriousness of your love:
You are very serious about relationships and aren't interested in wasting time with people you don't really like. If you meet the right person, you will fall deeply and beautifully in love.
*It's hard for me to fall in love though.

Your views on education
You may not like to study but you have many practical ideas. You listen to your own instincts and tend to follow your heart, so you will probably end up with an unusual job.
*So not true. XD

The right job for you:
You're a practical person and will choose a secure job with a steady income. Knowing what you like to do is important. Find a regular job doing just that and you'll be set for life.
*Really? I think I already know what I wanna do in the future.

How do you view success:
Success in your career is not the most important thing in life. You are content with what you have and think that being with someone you love is more than spending all of your precious time just working.
*Maybe yeah or maybe nope.

What are you most afraid of:
You are afraid of things that you cannot control. Sometimes you show your anger to cover up how you feel.
*Ahah. So true. But lately, I don't show my anger (I never showed my anger), I just need a shoulder. :)

Who is your true self:
You are full of energy and confidence. You are unpredictable, with moods changing as quickly as an ocean. You might occasionally be calm and still, but never for long.
*WOW.

Respect him

As I was viewing this video, it was so cool to see Dr M. And I was proud to know that it was Dr M being interviewed. Everytime the interviewee interrupted him, he will smile and answer it again!. Damn!
I think I found my politic hero.

Yes.
Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.

Z : I really wanna have his memoir, the book about his life.

University for Women

Saudi Arabia's largest university for women is, for the moment, a universe of men. Laborers from Pakistan, India, and Syria crawl over the near-finished classrooms and lecture halls, polishing marble and fine tuning light fixtures. In the state-of-the-art library, technicians from Lebanon are putting the final touches on a vast robotic book delivery system that can direct any one of five million books in the stacks to dedicated portals. Out front, Sri Lankan laborers lay tiles around a massive fountain and reflecting pool.  But in two months, when Princess Noora Bint Abdulrahman University opens its doors to a new class of some 30,000 students, every single one of those men will disappear behind a wall, cordoned off, by university law, from this all female enclave. Separate but equal is not an epithet here, it is the goal.
In one of the kingdom's most ambitious projects to date, the 2000-acre campus, complete with dorms to house 12,000 students, 14 colleges, a teaching hospital, Olympic-caliber athletic stadium and a mosque big enough for 5000 worshipers, was built in less than two years, at a cost of $5.3-billion. The project, says lead contractor Hussain al Harrieh, was akin to building Disney World in two years, “But maybe not as much fun.” Like Disneyland, anything that disrupts the fantasy of an all-women world will be carefully hidden: under the campus runs a 4-km long network of tunnels that allows maintenance workers to access pipes, communications cables and electrical mains in each of the buildings, without actually setting foot on university grounds. Women will staff cleaning crews, as well as the army of gardeners needed to tend the spacious lawns and floral borders. Female attendants will manage the integrated monorail system, but in order to adhere to the nation's ban on women drivers, the system itself is automated.
In a nation that takes the segregation of the sexes seriously, the investment and planning that has gone into insuring that this world of women stays untainted by a male presence (there are male professors, but they teach via video link) has been widely welcomed. Still, some Saudis wonder if it hasn't gone too far. The constant preoccupation with separating men and women, says architect Nadia Bakhurji, has become a drain on resources. “I sometimes wonder if that time and effort and money could be better spent on medical research, or better hospitals, or improving our education system.”
Quite possibly. But for the moment, the new university answers an increasing demand for women's education—56 percent of all university students are female, a stark change from the 1960s, when girls were not educated at all. But the university is also setting Saudi society up for more difficult questions to come: where will those women work when they graduate?

Ahmed al Hakami, vice minister of Economics and Planning, holds that many Princess Noora graduates will find jobs at the university itself, but that is hardly a sustainable solution. A recently released government order has opened some retail opportunities to women, namely in lingerie shops, but that's hardly an attractive job for someone with a degree in philosophy. In fact, says al Hakami, one of the biggest problems with employing women is the fact that they have historically opted for the softer sciences, like arts and literature, over finance and technology.  “We need to convince female students to switch to the sciences, so that they are better suited for today's labor market.”
He is also keeping an eye on future markets—Saudi officials are acutely aware that the oil economy won't last forever. With no other natural resources the kingdom will have to rely on its human resources, and that means women as much as men. Research, industrial design, technology—these are all fields that can employ women in culturally acceptable and segregated facilities, says al Hakami, far more so than the heavy labor intensive extractive industries. “One day, I am sure women will be taking over,” he said.
However far off that possibility may be, it raises yet another question. If more educated women are in the workforce, it's hard to see how that won't lead to a breakdown in the culture of segregation. Change in the kingdom comes slowly, but maybe that is where, eventually, it is headed.

Z : Wow! A very interesting Uni.

College Dropouts

Right after you get the your final result, what did you feel?
If you get a flying colours result, you'll be the happiest student in the world.
However, whats goes up always come down. You just can't stay at the top all the time.
To achieve is easy but to maintain, it takes lotsa work.

I wanna talk about entrepreneurship.
There are lotsa successful college drop-outs out there. Let's start from the oldies to the latest.

1. Leslie "Les" H. Wexner 1937

Ohio shopkeeper's son Leslie "Les" H. Wexner dropped out of law school and started 'The Limited' (so named because the store focused on clothing for younger women) in 1963 with a loan from an aunt. Expanded, Les took "Leslie's" public in the year 1969.
Over the years he built a large retailing and marketing conglomerate, which currently includes: Victoria's Secret, Pink, Bath & Body Works, Henri Brendel, C. O. Bigelow, The White Barn Candle Company and La Senza. Previous brands that have spun off include: Lane Bryant, Abercrombie & Fitch, Lerner New York, The Limited Too (now Tween Brands, Inc), Structure 9, Aura Science, The Limited, Express.

2. Bill Gates b. 1955

Who doesn't know Bill Gates can jump through that window right now. . .OK just kidding.
Once called the entrepreneur of the millennium, Bill Gates had the vision to see that software could be as valuable as hardware. Understanding that IBM would eventually have competition in the manufacture of computer hardware, Gates retained the copyright to the operating system Microsoft developed for IBM. Ultimately, sales of the MS-DOS system established the company as a major industry player. Ranked by Forbes magazine as the richest person in the world for 13 years, and with an estimated net worth more than $58B, Gates announced he was leaving his role in the day-to-day operation at Microsoft (he will remain as chairman) to commit himself to charitable causes. Today, the foundation he created with wife, Melinda, is the largest of its kind, funding innovations in health and learning around the world.

3. Michael Dell b. 1965

Who uses Dell here?
When the computer company he ran from his University of Texas dorm room took off, Michael Dell, 19, borrowed money from his grandparents, dropped out of college and founded Dell Computer. By building computers to order and selling directly to the customer, Dell undercut competition with good, inexpensive computers and avoided costs related to storage and obsolete inventory. Since Dell stepped down as CEO in 2004, Dell Inc has struggled against tough competition and changing marketplace. Dell returned to the helm in 2007 to help right his ship, and judging by history, he is the right man for the job.

4. Mark Zuckerberg b. 1984

You can make another country named Facebook.
Mark Zuckerberg is the founder and CEO of Facebook, which he started in his college dorm room in 2004 with roomates Dustin Moskovitz and Chris Hughes. While at Harvard, Zuckerberg created Facemash, a website that compared students' dorm photos side-by-side in a fashion similar to HOT or NOT. Harvard administration was not amused, and Zuckerberg faced subsequent disciplinary action. Less than 3 months later, he launched Facebook. In September 2010, Zuckerberg donated $100M to the Newark Public School System to help renovate and revamp the system. On another note, Mark Zuckerberg also won the 2007 Crunchie Award for 'Best Startup CEO' and he was named the Time Magazine 2010 Person Of The Year.

*

There are also lotsa successful entrepreneur who are grads from their college.
They are very famous. Who doesn't know Larry Page and Sergey Brin?
As Stanford graduate students, they set out to create a better way to search the Web. Recognizing the value of their creation, and with a goal to organize the world's information, they formed Google in 1998. Well known for its casual environment and corporate policy of "do no evil", Google prides itself on the creative environment it fosters for employees, landing on top of Fortune magazine's Best Places to Work list. Today, Google controls between 50% to 70% of the world's search business market, and Brin and Page are among the wealthiest men alive.

*got all the info from CampusPlus

Z : No matter whether you're fresh grads or college drop-out, its all about how you set your life goal. If you wanted to be successful person, then success will follow you and vice versa.

Melatah ?

'Sup bloggie ?
Feeling good lately ?

Anyway, I just watched 360 in TV3 just now and they had some interesting topic which was about

M E L A T A H

I don't know what it called in english because from my observation, only Malays melatah.
It's true!
Have you ever see a Chinesse, or an Indian or Caucasians melatah ?
Of course nope, kan!
That's why it was called melatah.

The interviewer, interviews the interviewee whom are melatah type of person. I laughed watching them teasing the melatah-person and at the same time, I pitied them too. It must be hard living like that. I know it's entertaining but beware, it can be dangerous too.

How it can be dangerous ?
Lemme give a situation where this melatah-person is holding a knife/scissors/dangerous objects. Suddenly, there's this annoying-person who like to tease people feels like to disturb this melatah-person. Without any further due, this melatah-person accidentally poke the knife/scissors/sharp objects to the annoying-person.
Haah. See! Kan dah kena!

*
From my point of view, this phenomenon is an involuntary action.
From the view of melatah-person, there are many factors that can cause melatah. And genetic is not one of them. Most of them said that, it caused by emotion.
Correct me if I'm wrong k?

ade kena-mengena ke?

Z : Fun and entertaining yet kesian.

NLP is FUN

Almost all my recent post were about fun. IDK whether its fun to read or not. Who cares anyway.

Before I'm getting started to type whatever happened last weekend, I just wanna say
HI !
<xtauk gik pa mok dipadah la aa>

Now, let's continued from my previous post. Better read it guys or you might end up being blurr. JK!
Photoshoot with TNC on the last day.
I slept for 2 hours after under attack by the PALAPES instructors. Need to woke up for Subuh and went to Kemang 5 Hall. I thought the guys wanted to do tazkirah but unfortunately, we all were too tired and the bed in the room were calling our name. In short, we all went to sleep. Teehee.
< bagus na olah! >

The NLP was conducted by the Prof. Madya Syed Mohd. Shafeq a.k.a Pak Bib. First and foremost, he wanted us to take control our PAIN and SLEEP. For me, if I fell sick, I'll pop up  a Panadol and rest. However, his technique was quite different. It seems like a lie but when he asked a volunteer, the volunteer said that the pain was gone. Dayumm!
I must learn that because it's good for silat training.
Then, about the sleeping habit. My sleeping habit after the CNY hols was after 2am and that was very bad, for me of course. He assure us to sleep 6-8 hours per day. The worst time to take a nap was in between Zohor and Asar, and during Maghrib. Bad for you!

" A good leader sleep
less than 6 hours "
He also taught us how to answer an interview. And whoa, I feel really good after did that simulation. It shows that, we must be grey, neither black nor white. Besides, reversed psychology is a must during answer the questions. Try to answer the questions from both side.

shortayy

In evening, we answered TAJMA personality quiz. After 4, we had a 'torture' session from the PALAPES instructors. We did some games and there's goes my plan to play at the water theme park behind the hotel. Anyhow, even though the time was quite short, me and Ying still went to the water slide and played in the water. So many things to do, so little time.
Hurmm...

Tembus...
It was time to activate our right brain. The straw through potato and standing on the eggs were the activities during the night time. Actually, I can't get the straw through. See up there...just a slight came out. But, for the standing on the egg, I did it without breaking any eggs. Too bad I don't have the photo.
The best momento was during the standing on the eggs. The Kak Limah waves was all over the place and TNC was there too.
< perangey dpn TNC bagus lu jak. X senonoh ada laa. JK! >

* * *
The midnight session was another 'torture' from them. I knew their intention was only to make us stronger but agak2 la. We all were freaking tired bha. Fortunately, for this one, we didn't need to soak ourselves up.

* * *
Last day~
My roomies a.k.a KJPPI, YB Must
