Everyone knows that if it is a fasting season, there must have a lotsa events. And, the best event that I love during this season is the breaking fast of course. There will be a lotsa choices of food and sometimes, we can eat it for FREE! On 25th August was my first breaking fast event here. It was held together with Majlis Angkat Sumpah KorSuksis at Canselori Hall. We all were being told to go to the hall at 2pm but I didn’t make it. I had other important stuff to do by that time. Well, I’m the Chief Assistant for CEP-1SCV(2) and Mierul (the Chief) need my help to fill in the blank for the presentation. How should I know about the price for certain stuffs at Johore. Luckily, I knew how to do this thing. This was supposed to be the treasurer jobs. Well, whatever! It’s my team and we all in this together. I’m not gonna talk about this. This stuff hasn’t been done yet. So, now let’s get back to the main point. On this day, I had 2 events that was KorSuksis and CGMA, and I had to choose 1. This time, I need to choose Suksis over CGMA. What to do? Majlis Angkat Sumpah is more important though.
White baju kurung, black long skirt and white hijab. That what I wore, or that what every junior wore for the event. It was for girls only though. Junior guys wore white t-shirt with UTM tie and black slack. The senior and intermediate wore baju kurung for girls and baju melayu for guys. So colourful laa~~ I like watching all the guys including the police officer wearing the complete baju melayu. They all look so smart and handsome in it. So nice laa! That was still nothing compared to my appearance. Everyone especially the junior platoon was looking at me.
How do I look?!
As for the reason, they NEVER EVER saw me using a hijab before. As for me, this was the first time I wore 1 since last year. Usually I will wear a shawl for a certain event and suddenly, wearing a proper hijab just for the Suksis event. Even Athirah was shocked looking at me. She thought that I was someone else. Aww… The event starts at 5.40pm. It supposed to start on 5.00pm but we were all waiting for the ACP Mat Kassim bin Mat Karim, the VIP for the event. First of all, of course la speech from the VIPs. Then, Negaraku and Polis Sedia Berkhidmat songs. Lucky for me, I still remember the lyrics. After that, the Shazwan, the president, was the leader to all of us for Angkat Sumpah thingey. He lead, we follow. After that, the first event is done! Now, we waited for the azan and ate our dinner. But 1st, we ate kurma and some kuih-muih. After that, we went to MSI to perform the Maghrib prayer. Next, was DINNER!! We ate ala buffet style. We ate, we talked and we laughed. I had so much fun and lastly of course, CAM-WHORING!!
My twin (based on name only!)
Fendi texted me and asked me whether I’m free or not. And I’m totally free for Thursday but then he postponed the breaking fast event to Friday (27th August 2010). Well, now I’m talking about the Pencak Silat’s breaking fast event. For a week, I was stressed out about midterm exams. On Monday I had Discrete Structure exam, Wednesday was hands-on quiz for Programming Technique 1 and I was the first person to come out from KPU7. Then, Friday I had Ethnic Relation exam. Finally on Saturday and Sunday, I had Programming Technique 1 and Digital Logic exams respectively. I just can’t handle it anymore. That was why I agreed to go for the dinner with them. Who can handles all the exams when Eid is just around the corner? Not me! I went there with Kak Asma and the event took place at Wakaf Singgora which is just near the JJ. We waited for the coach to come and the dinner begun! The food was delish but too bad I did not take the photos of the foods. Well, of course I was the only junior present that time. I dunno the other 2 where-about. It’s been ages since I saw them. Well, after dinner, and look at the time, I had a meeting for Silat Cekak. I knew it was still early but what dya know, the food was FINISHED!! Nada!! Totally clean plate. This can only be proved by photos.

Focus on the plates
Like I said from my previous post, I haven’t RVSP for the KFK Breaking Fast event. Even so, I didn’t go for the event. That was because I had Digital Logic midterm exam that evening. Well, not my luck I guess. That’s alright though. I had a lot in my calendar.
Next event in my calendar was Breaking Fast with the Silat Cekak Malaysia (SCM). It was held on the Malaysia’s national day, which was on 31st August 2010. For this event, I was being appointed to become a treasurer, again! Well, I guess the treasurer-thingy already been stamped on my forehead. At first, Syakirim asked us whether MYR 7.00 was too much or too less. I was the one who said that it was too much and I told them MYR 5.00 was enough. Well, that was the time before being told to become the treasurer. Then, Kak TQ said that I must collect MYR 6.00 because 5 bucks was not enough. How am I supposed to know that the VIP didn’t need to pay for the food! If I knew that they didn’t need to pay, of course I’ll be agreed with MYR 7. Then, during the second meeting, the AJK Makanan (people who in-charge with the food), told me that the cost for the food was MYR6/pax. Now, it’s over budget. I negotiated with Kak TQ and she agreed that the club will gave some to support the current cash. Phew… My head almost cracked (just exaggerating) to figure out how to find the rest of the cash.
During the event, I had 2-in-1 jobs that were treasurer, duhh!, and camerawoman. I took lotsa photos and collected lotsa money. How I love the smell of money! Lol. The menu for the evening was Chicken Briyani Rice which was ordered from KTDI (Tun Dr. Ismail college) and honestly speaking, it was DELISH~ We were eating in dulang or tray. Each tray consist of 4 pax. It was the first time I ate like that and felt a lil bit awkward. I seldom ate my food with hand in public though and a lil bit embarrassed because I ate like a child. So messy! Well, what to do? There were NO spoon and forks prepared for us. So, need to eat kampung style. I guess photos can speak more words than I could type. Ouh yeah, one more thing, because of my stupidity, almost all the picture turned out bad and ugly. Can see the noise in almost each photos though. So sucks. That was all because I forgot to change the ISO to auto. What was I thinking? That camera ain’t DSLR! Damn! Sorry for the inconvenience.
Step 1: The preparation.
Step 2: The serving
Step 3: Ready to eat
