4th July 2010
I woke up very early in the morning and I’m going to Johore. I supposed went to JB yesterday but something came up. Well, it worth it. I got to eat BBQ with my family and Usu Iejan was there too. It was the first time I say Asha, my littlest cousin. She was so small. I mean smaller than Aly. I got to eat grilled lamb and beef. Dang, it was so delishh…
Now, enough talking about what happened last night, I wanted to talk about what really happened on this day. I arrived in Johore early but going to JB from KL early in the morning was very tiring. Boboi and I were fast asleep on our way to there. Then, we had our pit stop at R&R near Pagoh there. After that, amazingly we arrived UTM around 10.30am. Sooner that I thought.
Arrived at the UTM, OMG, it is so BIG and had a hard time to find Tun Razak College, KTR for short. Then, I registered at the front counter and this was the moment I started nervous. I’m alone. There’s no Aishah here. I was being asked to check all my documents before I went to the next counter. At the front desk, I was interviewed by the crew. Whoa, that was the second time I’m being interviewed. After that, all my documents had passed the first checked point, I went to the 1st counter until the last counter which were 8 counters altogether and at the last counter, I had been given a key to my room. My room is at K07 and my roommate is Athirah from KL.
The first time I saw my room, Ya Allah, honestly speaking, my room in LMC was far much better than this one. There is only one word to explain the room that is ‘old-school’. Then, I packed out all my stuff and ciao from my room. Went to eat at Kenny Rogers in JB City Square and at the same time, there was a fashion show there. The outfits being modelled were so nice and so as the models too. ;p Unfortunately, we can’t be too long there because on 5pm, I had a briefing about the programmes which will be held for the whole week. In the briefing session, we were divided into 10 groups and I was in Group 10. The principal and the fellows were being introduced to the new students. In short, the first day was still OK for me and the crews were all nice.

5th July 2010
Again I will repeat the same sentence which is the “woke up early” thing. Today, I woke up early cause need to go to the Subuh’s lecture. For the whole session, I fell asleep as I can’t pray. I still can felt my jet lag in my bone. Then, for breakfast, I drank coffee. Never in my life, I had coffee for breakfast. Mdm Aminawati once said that, if you drink coffee for the first time, you will feel very energetic. Too bad, I felt very sleepy for the whole morning. Then, we took a bus ( as I said, UTM is so BIG ) to Sultan Iskandar Hall, DSI for short for the monthly assembly with UTM’s vice chancellor and staffs. The hall is so big that it can fit more than 2000 person at one time. The assembly was all about welcoming the new students to the UTM whether we are local or international. And yes, there are international students here which some are from Nigeria, Indonesia, Syria and so much more. The vice chancellor also talked about UTM being a “Research University” and how he wanted UTM to become the 2nd APEX University in the country and bla bla bla…
The next programme that had been written in the manual was “Gotong-Royong Perdana”. 10 o’clock in the morning, we all went back to our respective college. As for KTR, each team had been given a task to tidy up our college. I don’t remembered much about which group doing their stuff but the most I remembered is my own group (of course Ia ). Group 10 were being asked to do a banner. The title of the banner was 1Malaysia. I know the banner was so skema and I’m not in the mood to do the banner thingey as the sleeping mode in my soul was still in ON. This was all the coffee fault. XD I watched they drew the blueprint in a piece of paper and still not in the mood until Azam ( Group 10’s crew ) asked what’s wrong with me. Before I fell asleep, I just took a pencil and started drawing. And whadya know, my sleeping mode were switched OFF. I drew the 3 persons and the KLCC. The ‘1Malaysia’ wording was being drew by this chinesse-guy-that-look-like-caucasian ( sorry, I don’t remember your name ) and the abstract pattern at the corner of the banner was being drew by this Malay guy ( and again, sorry I don’t recall your name ). The other girls accept me were colouring the banner. So pity that only 2 guys were present today and I also don’t know where the other guys in my group had gone. They are facing extinction here in KTR. HELP!!!
At 2pm, we had a briefing about Integrity plan at DSI. UTM is very strict about plagiarism. Once you plagiarise, you can be expelled from UTM. Hearing about that, it scares the the hell outta me. As for you know, I always copy-and-paste my work. ;p Well, from now on, I’m gonna be ORIGINAL. No more copy-and-paste attitude. Then, nothing much happened for the evening.
Today, we must went to DSI early cause all the Muslim students were going to Maghrib prayer at Sultan Ismail mosque ( if I’m not mistaken ), MSI for short. FYI, MSI is the largest mosque in Johore and can fit 10000 prayers at the same time. Unfortunately, I couldn’t see the mosque for the night and I went straight to DSI. The next event was on 9pm. The event was being talked by the UTM deputy vice chancellor, Prof Dr Mohd. Tajudin bin Ninggal and he is famously being called as Prof T. The event finished late and we had a roll called after that at Tun Rahah hall ( in KTR ). Dang, my eyes were so tired and my body was aching even though there were no ragging. Well, that’s all!
