Emerald Pool for the Fools

Krabi Getaway

Okay. Okay.
The title has nothing to do with the post anyway.

So, it was my last day in Krabi. We woke up quite early as the van picked us up at 7 AM. Our last destinations before we go back to real life was the Emerald Pool. We planned to reach at the Emerald Pool by 8 AM. The early birds catch the worms. Or in our case, the early birds get the chance to conquer the pool. Hehh...

At the main entrance of the Emerald Pool.

Sempat berposing before 1 KM walk.

The Emerald Pool is one of the National Park in Thailand. The entrance fee was 200 baht or MYR 20 per person. There are 2 ways to reach the pool. The first one is by foot. Ehh jap. Both of the routes are using foot to get to the pool. The first route is by using the wooden trail (I shall named this Route A). We can see a lot of floras if we use the Route A. This route will took about 1.4 KM (I guess so). Nevertheless, we used the second route, which is...

Route B. Nothing much to see except for the big trees but it took us
1 KM walks.
I think this crystal clear water can be seen in Route A.

After the not-so-long journey of walking, we arrived at the magnificent, green in colour pool. Literally, it's green in colour. Now I know why it's called the Emerald Pool. Look!

The boys jump into the pool right after they stepped at the platform surrounding it. However, for us, the girls, we didn't know how to swim. So, we sat at the platform and paddle our feet in the water. It's quite boring actually. The boys asked me to jump as I was the tallest among the girl. I was quite afraid though. Tapi beranikan jugak.
I went to the other side and jump into the pool. At the other side, the water is quite shallow. It reached up until my chin. I asked the other girls to jump into the pool too.
We swam.
We goofed around.
We took a lot of photos.

The pools got crowded. It's only 10 AM bha. Luckily we arrived at the pool early. Then, we decided to go to the Blue Pool. We need to walk, again. The Blue Pool was awesome. We can't swim there. Ada penunggu kot? (Ayat cliche orang Meleis)

The lonely planet.

Sa Nam Phut is the origin of Sa Morakot, formed from
the hot spring under the Earth crust which is
indigo blue and pops up on the time. When the tourists
visit the the pool and clap their hand, the spring will
pop up more quickly. Swimming is not allowed
in this area due to the deep water and the sucking
mud which is very dangerous.
Bird watching

Return back to the Emerald Pool, there were a group of English Men and Women did some bird watching. Each of us tried this (it's-look-like-telescope-thing-y). I saw a bird, on a branch, far far far away from us. A new experience for me.

At noon, we went back to the van and off to Hatyai. Arrived at Hatyai around 5 PM and we wanted to go to the floating market. But to our surprise, it was closed. It only open on weekends only (Friday, Saturday and Sunday). Thus, we took our early dinner before off to KL. Our bus departed at 7 PM.

Arrived in UTC at 4 in the morning. An awesome journey. Back to reality. I had a meeting at 9:30 AM that very morning. *le sigh*

Off my phones while on vacays. Sekali bukak
banyak nak mampus WhatsApp and email
masok.
This bus has a plug and free WiFi.
And the most important thing, it provide a blanket.
Ngee...
