Last night, I attended a dinner called Borneo Night 2011 as a VIP. That was my first dinner in UTM. From what I knew, that was the first time Massa (Perwakilan Mahasiswa Sarawak) and Permas (Perwakilan Mahasiswa Sabah) co-operate to make this dinner a success. And it was a success even though the introduction was a lil bit slow.
Me, KC and Frany seat at the VIP table with the YDP of Massa and Permas but both of them always not at the table. So, the three of us buat macam rumah sendiri. The main dish was Nasi Briyani. Quite delish though. Too bad I didn't took the picture of the main course. Then, came the special dish and that was. . .
Laksa Sarawak |
The three of us also became the food critics. Frany said that the laksa was so delish but me and KC beg to differ. The appearance of the laksa, I gave 9/10 but the taste I just gave 6/10. Even Hazman said that it didn't taste like the original. C'mon la. Mana nak cari yg ori melainkan org Swk sendiri yg buat. The other special dish was berubok <tell me if the spelling is incorrect> but I didn't get the chance to taste it. The waiters didn't serve our table. How could they forgot about us?
Anyhow, nuf talking about the foods. Now, lets talk about the performances. The performances were AWESOME! With their tasty voice, I really enjoyed it. Even Frany said so. Thus, I took the opportunity to give out my idea about the performances thingey. Some of the band really compose their own songs. I LIKE! By seeing this, it made me more anticipated to organize the events though.
Saturday and Sunday is not the same without Rawiey. She went back to Sarawak while I'm only stuck with Borneo Night. Nevertheless, it was so worth it. Dato' Fadillah was really a sporting person. He went from table to table and asked us where we from. He is so kool.
Well, if the VVIP is a sport, and so were the guests. If the songs were cun, almost all of the guest including Frany, were dancing at the middle of the aisle. Me? Of course I danced but only for the last song though. Need to behave a lil bit. Besides, the 'Aramaiti' song really heat up the dinner because Dato' Fadillah and Dato' TNC were dancing too!
I told Frany, this attitude was just 10% from the whole scenario in Borneo. If you go to Borneo, the event will be more happening. The event last night was still under control though.
Next was about the lucky draw. At first I felt very lucky that my number had been picked up but it's a no-no.Watdya know, the 3 lucky last numbers that Dato' picked were very lucky. 2 of them got a present from Dato' and of course the last one was
AN OPEN RETURN TICKET TO KUCHING SARAWAK
DAYUMM!! That Sabahan was really a lucky person.
And the organizers were also very creative. They put 3 papers in the doorgift randomly and randomly distributed it to the guests. And that 3 lucky persons got the grand hampers.
Number 1033. Wei, that's mine bha. |
Last but not least, there was also Borneo King and Queen. Congrats to both of ya!
